Thank you for all of the support you have given to the GROW program over the last month. Now that we are past September, GROW Month has come to an end. But that doesn’t mean you should stop promoting the GROW program to your customers. October is Fair Trade Month, and it’s important to continue your ties to social responsibility and make sure the good will that you are supporting is fresh in the minds of those who visit your store(s).
Throughout GROW month we looked at all of the wonderful advantages the program has given to the workers and their families in the banana growing regions of Mexico and Ecuador. Your dedication to GROW has helped keep kids in school, encouraged literacy, provided clean water to Ecuadorians, put a roof over student’s heads, and promoted early childhood development.
With your ongoing efforts, GROW will continue to create these extraordinary acts of kindness to benefit those who are less fortunate and in need of assistance. It only takes a banana to change a life. Make sure to let your customers know that they are making a difference with every purchase.
To continue celebrating GROW month as we enter Fair Trade Month, we are hosting a Facebook contest that allows consumers the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Colima, Mexico for a volunteer week with GROW. (More details here.)
